Design of Thinking®, now, DoT Approach Case Study Three

DIANA GREEN – VISIONLED GLOBAL

DoT Service: Thinking Partner Conversations (one to one mentoring)

Challenge: The client was experiencing personal and professional difficulties, being uncertain of how to align and establish future work and life direction.

Project: To support and guide the client to unravel professional and personal difficulties to identify challenges and rediscover potential.  To create and establish direction aligning and integrating both personal and professional engagement so that clear, informed decisions and action could be reached.

Findings: Lack of clarity had created difficulty to move forward in career and personal life.

  • Limited abilities to rethink and make decisions.
  • Lack of ability to step beyond current paradigm prevented growth and advancement.
  • Full potential was not being utilised.
  • Past structures restricted alternate strategies from being implemented.
  • Current processes constrained capabilities to tackle ‘new or different’ challenges.
  • A different approach for personal and career growth was needed.

What Happened:  Tailor made purpose directed integrative processes were designed incorporating structured questioning and creative activities such as mark making, image and graphic building, painting, drawing and voice. These creative methods revealed a shift in perspective, forming foundations for trust, reflection and understanding. It became a mirror to current, possible and future potential. It prompted imagination that revealed possibilities that had not previously been considered.

Unexpected ‘insights’ emerged through this knowing of awareness.

Case Study Testimonial:

“I had the opportunity to take part in the Visionled Global program, Design of Thinking, (DoT). I was privileged to be able to experience the Design of Thinking, (DoT). Thinking Partner Conversations immersion one to one program over a period of 6 days. (non-consecutive days). The course proved to be cleverly structured, through a progressive journey of self-awareness. The process enabled me to see new strategies for moving forward.  At the time, I was experiencing personal difficulties and in transition in my professional life. Diana’s Partner Conversations was like a breath of fresh air that broadened my horizons. The Design of Thinking, DoT program appears to be deceptively simple on the surface but profound in achieving its targeted outcomes.”
