History of Rugby

In 1823, a young man, William Webb Ellis was playing school football, it is said he picked up the ball and ran with it. It is said to have originated at Rugby School in Warwickshire, England, hence the game was called Rugby.

His action could have easily been overlooked, however what was interesting is someone noticed, even more, someone became aware and in the knowing of this awareness a new possibility emerged.

The Story of Transformation

This action evolved and transformed the game of football into another form of sport, Rugby. 196 years later Rugby still thrives and is played internationally.

The example illustrating the origin of Rugby, it is a story about transformation.

Today we are kept busy keeping up with the expectations of life, often without taking time to review and consider or think beyond our habitual ways of operating.

How do we stop to connect to inspire our imagination? Could this be an opening into new possibilities?
